Celebrities Supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

 

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is the premier center for helping children with leukemia, other forms of cancer and infectious diseases.  Medical research at the hospital is ongoing in an effort to combat diseases in children.  Actor/entertainer Danny Thomas (TV’s “Make Room For Daddy”) founded the hospital in the 1950s in honor of the patron saint of hopeless causes, Saint Jude Thaddeus.  After years of organizing donations, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened its doors in 1962.  Since then people from all over the world have shown their support for the hospital by volunteering time as well as donations.  We take a look at some of Hollywood’s celebrities who have worked with St. Jude’s at different times throughout the years.
