This movie is based on a true story and stars Catherine Keener. “An American Crime” tells the story of a woman and the girl she held captive in her home for a number of years.
Black Snake Moan
Samuel L. Jackson, Christina Ricci and Justin Timberlake were all on hand at the Sundance Film Festival for the premier of their latest feature “Black Snake Moan”. The movie tells the story of a musician (Jackson) who takes a troubled young woman (Ricci) under his wing.
Chapter 27
This movie premiered on the last day of the festival. Starring Mark David Chapman and Lindsay Lohan, “Chapter 27” tells the story of Mark David Chapman (Leno) during the days leading up to his murder of John Lennon.

Dedication
Billy Crudup, Mandy Moore and Tom Wilkinson star in “Dedication”. An author (Crudup) has to learn to accept the new illustrator (Moore) working with him.
The Good Night
Gwyneth Paltrow made an appearance at the Sundance Film Festival. She appears in the movie “The Good Night” which premiered on the last day of the festival. The movie, which tells the story of a former music sensation who reaches his breaking point, also stars Penelope Cruz, Danny DeVito and Martin Freeman.
Grace Is Gone
A father, trying to come to terms with his wife’s death in
Hounddog
“Hounddog” created plenty of controversial buzz when it premiered during the festival’s fourth day. A young girl, who’s an outsider, finds solace and inspiration from music. The movie stars Dakota Fanning and Robin Wright
If I’d Known I Was A Genius
This comedy tells the story of the career choices that an exceptionally gifted actor must make when he finds himself suddenly out of work. The movie, which premiered on the festival’s fifth day, stars Whoopi Goldberg, Tara Reid and Sharon Stone.
King Of
This movie starring Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood premiered on the festivals sixth day. The film tells the story of a troubled man who tries to convince his estranged daughter about the existence of a buried treasure.
The Nines
The lives of three unlikely people intertwine with a certain complexity. “The Nines” stars Ryan Reynolds.
Resurrecting The Champ
A former boxing champion who has fallen on hard times meets a reporter and in the process greatly impacts his life. “Resurrecting the Champ” stars Josh Hartnett and Samuel L. Jackson. It premiered on the second day of the festival. Jackson, Hartnett and the film’s co-star Alan Alda appeared at the festival.
The Savages
Two siblings learn life lessons when they must learn to care for their father who is in ill health. “The Savages” stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney.
Slipstream
“Slipstream” was written, directed and co-stars Anthony Hopkins. In the movie, there’s more to a writer’s fictional characters than he realizes. The film stars Christian Slater and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Snow Angels
This drama premiered on the first day of the Sundance Film Festival. “Snow Angels” stars Kate Beckinsale and tells the story of a teenager and his dealings with his former babysitter who happens to be married and has a daughter.
Waitress
Keri Russell not only stars in the film but also appeared at the Sundance Film Festival when it premiered on the third day of the event. Russell plays Jenna, a waitress at a small town restaurant who develops a relationship with the new guy in town.
Year Of The Dog
What happens to a woman when her beloved dog dies? “Year of the Dog” stars Molly Shannon.
