Autograph Collector Magazine’s 2007 Best and Worst Celebrity Signers

“Autograph Collector” Magazine has once again released their lists of Hollywood’s best and worst autograph signers. Which celebrities ranked among the good and the bad?

Best

1. Johnny Depp – The star of the Pirates of the Caribbean films once again garnered the top spot among autograph seekers.

2. Matt Damon – The star of “The Bourne Ultimatum” and Ocean’s 11 ranks second. Damon was listed number three on last year’s list.

3. George Clooney – Although he ranks a spot lower on this year’s list, Clooney, who stars in “Michael Clayton” and “Intolerable Cruelty”, is still one of Hollywood’s more gracious autograph signers.

4. Jack Nicholson – The legendary actor who currently stars in “The Bucket List” makes his second appearance on the best autograph signers list. Last year he ranked number nine.

5. Rosario Dawson – The star of Sin City and Clerks II is the first of three female celebrities to make the “best” list.

6. John Travolta – The iconic star of such films as “Grease”, “Pulp Fiction” and “Hairspray” comes in at number six on this year’s list.

7. Katherine Heigl – Making her first appearance on the list is Katharine Heigl who stars on TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy” as well as the blockbuster “Knocked Up” and the upcoming “27 Dresses”.

8. Jay Leno – The host of TV’s “The Tonight Show” has appeared as himself in a number of movies including “Calendar Girls” and “Juwana Mann” and has voiced characters for such movies as “Cars” and “Robots”.

9. Dakota Fanning – The youngest person to make the list of best autograph signers has starred in “Man on Fire”, War of the Worlds and “Charlotte’s Web”.

10. Russell Crowe – The star of “Gladiator” and “3:10 to Yuma” makes his debut at number ten on the best celebrity signers list. Crowe ranked number ten on the worst list the previous year.

Worst

1. Will Ferrell – The popular actor/comedian who starred in the hit movies Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Wedding Crashers and “Old School” ranks number one on the list of worst celebrity autograph signers.

2. Tobey Maguire – Last year’s fourth ranked worst signer now garners a second place finish. Maguire stars in the blockbuster Spider-Man films.

3. Joaquin Phoenix – The Walk the Line and “Gladiator” star ranks six notches higher this year on the list!

4. William Shatner – The iconic star of “Star Trek”, TV’s “Boston Legal” and such films as Over the Hedge, “Showtime” and “Miss Congeniality” appears on the list at number four.

5. Renee Zellweger – The Oscar winning star of such films as Cold Mountain, Chicago and “Me, Myself & Irene” appears on the list at number five.

6. John Malkovich – The charismatic star of “Dangerous Liaisons”, Man in the Iron Mask and “Con Air” ranks at number six on this year’s list.

7. Julie Andrews – The legendary star of such memorable films as “The Sound of Music”, “Mary Poppins” and “Victor/Victoria” as well as voicing the character of Queen Lillian in the “Shrek” films makes the list at number seven.

8. Bruce Willis – Although he ranked number two last year, Willis still makes this year’s list, coming in at number eight. The action star has appeared in “The Whole Nine Yards”, Sin City and the recent “Live Free or Die Hard”.

9. Teri Hatcher – Dropping a notch from last year is Teri Hatcher who currently stars on TV’s “Desperate Housewives”. Hatcher has also appeared in such films as “Tomorrow Never Dies”, “Resurrecting the Champ” and the upcoming “Coraline”.

10. Scarlett Johansson – The star of “Lost in Translation”, “The Island” and “The Prestige” makes an appearance on the list at number ten.
